It's Black History Month across America, and at the Museum of Biblical Art in NYC it's nearly time for their newly organized show "Ashe to Amen: African Americans and Biblical Imagery" (February 15 - May 26). The exhibition includes 60 works of art and design that date from the late 19th century to 2012 by nearly 50 artists, 25 whom are still active today including the amazing work of D.C. resident and assemblage artist, Renee Stout. This museum is my single most favorite place to visit in NYC, which is also reflected in my February "Welcome" to A&O Readers, and that's why "Baby Jesus and Three Wise Men" (above) from the exhibition's upcoming exhibition is my NEWS OF WEEK.
