Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night, the best seller in Houston in 2012 for overstockArt “Starry Night” was the “clear winner” in Houston in 2012, with Gustav Klimt’s “The Kiss” a “distant second,” says Sasson. That’s a bit different from what overstockArt.com saw on an international level, where Pablo Picasso’s “The Dream” topped the best sellers list. Absent from that list are works with religious subject matter. “Religious Art has never been a great seller for us,” says Sasson. Our most religious artworks are Marc Chagall’s Jewish themes depicting the story of the Jewish people in the Gola [exile].” [link]
