Posted on 00:00 by the great khali
BANGKOK POST
THAILAND---The story of Mahajanaka by His Majesty the King provided the inspiration for the master's degree thesis project of his granddaughter, HRH Princess Siribha Chudhabhorn, to create a mural painting for a temple in Chiang Mai. Princess Siribha Chudhabhorn's interest in Lanna murals was sparked by her field trips to temples in the North during the course of her undergraduate studies at Silpakorn University. And what could be more suitable as the theme than Mahajanaka, which relates to one of the last 10 incarnations of the Lord Buddha, and focuses on how King Mahajanaka overcame the obstacles in his life through perseverance and moderation.
